About this course
Digital Tools and Digital Skills in the Workplace is a 10-hour CPD course that lifts the everyday digital skills of a whole team. It covers getting real value from the collaboration, document and communication tools most workplaces already pay for but underuse.
The course runs as four weekly live online sessions of 1.5 hours with a qualified trainer, covering Files and shared workspaces; Real-time collaboration; Communication and calendars; and Shortcuts and hygiene. Between sessions learners work through worksheets and workplace scenarios, about 50 hours of learning in total, and the course is assessed by a 1,500-word written assignment applied to their own workplace. Learners who pass receive a certificate for 10 CPD hours.
It is designed for staff who want to work faster with the everyday software they have, teams standardising how they use shared tools, managers raising the digital baseline of a team and owner-managers who want more out of the software they already pay for.
