About this course
Financial Management for Non-Financial Managers is a 10-hour CPD course that makes business finance usable for managers without a finance background. It covers reading the core statements, budgeting, cost control and the financial logic behind good decisions.
The course runs as four weekly live online sessions of 1.5 hours with a qualified trainer, covering The three statements; Profit versus cash; Budgeting; and Costs and decisions. Between sessions learners work through worksheets and workplace scenarios, about 50 hours of learning in total, and the course is assessed by a 1,500-word written assignment applied to their own workplace. Learners who pass receive a certificate for 10 CPD hours.
It is designed for managers who own a budget but never trained in finance, team leads and department heads answerable for the numbers, specialists moving up who now have to defend a budget and a business case and owner-managers and founders who want to steer by the numbers.
