About this course
Most managers are promoted because they were good at the job, then left to work out leadership on their own. The New Leader Programme gives them six weeks to build the habits that matter most in the first years: setting direction, giving feedback, delegating, handling conflict and leading change.
Each week is one live 2.5-hour session on Zoom, a short task to try with their own team, and a practice partner from the cohort. Cohorts of up to 12 mean everyone speaks, practises and gets feedback every week. The six sessions cover: from doing to leading; direction and clear expectations; feedback and coaching; delegation and growing people; conflict and difficult moments; and leading change, ending with a personal 90-day leadership plan.
It is designed for new managers in their first two years, team leads and supervisors about to take on people, experienced specialists who now lead a team, and organisations building a pipeline of future managers.
