Why accredit your event

A stronger reason to book, and a reason to come back

Accountants, HR professionals, nurses, compliance officers, insurance professionals and many others must log CPD hours every year. An accredited event lets them count the time they spend with you, and prove it.

  • Tickets are easier to approve

Most delegates need a manager to sign off the ticket and travel. "This summit gives me 6 accredited CPD hours" is the sentence that gets a yes.

  • You stand out from similar events

Two events on the same topic, in the same month, at a similar price. The one with accredited CPD hours is the easier choice.

  • Proof the programme is about learning

An independent review confirms clear learning outcomes, qualified speakers and real educational content, not one long sales pitch.

  • Delegates come back next year

When your event becomes the place a profession picks up its yearly CPD, people return out of habit, not just for the line-up.

  • Sponsors and exhibitors gain too

An accredited programme draws senior professionals who came to learn, which is exactly the audience your sponsors and exhibitors want to meet.

  • One more place to be found

Your event gets its own page in Find CPD, our directory of accredited learning, with a direct link to your booking page.

Which events we accredit

If people come to learn, we can accredit it

What we ask for

Most organisers already have all of this

  • Your programme with session times and speakers
  • Learning outcomes: what delegates will know or be able to do afterwards
  • Speaker profiles, a few lines on each speaker's experience
  • Your CPD hours, counting educational sessions only
  • How you record attendance: badge scans, sign-in sheets or app check-ins
  • A feedback form and a way for delegates to raise a concern

Questions

About event accreditation

Can an expo or trade show be CPD accredited?

Yes. We accredit the education programme inside your expo: the conference stage, seminar theatres and workshops. Visitors earn CPD hours for the sessions they attend. Time on the exhibition floor does not count, so your exhibitors and sponsors carry on exactly as before.

How are CPD hours worked out for an event?

One CPD hour is sixty minutes of structured learning. We count the educational sessions only, and leave out registration, breaks, meals, networking, exhibition time and sponsor content. Hours are shown in half-hour steps and always rounded down.

Our event runs over several days or streams. Is that one event?

Usually, yes. A multi-day conference with one programme is one event. If delegates buy single-day passes or follow separate streams, it can make sense to accredit each day or stream on its own, so every certificate shows the right hours. We will advise you on the call.

We run the same event every year. What happens next year?

Accreditation lasts twelve months. Each new edition has a new programme, so it is reviewed as a new event. If you run two or more events a year, or the same event every year, a membership plan is usually better value than single event accreditation.

Do we pay for each certificate?

No. Numbered certificates for every delegate who attended are included, however many people come. You upload your attendance list after the event and every delegate receives a certificate they can check online.

Can online and hybrid events be accredited?

Yes. Virtual summits, webinar series and hybrid events are accredited in the same way. You simply need a reliable way to record who attended each session, such as platform attendance reports.

How far ahead should we apply?

Before your event, and ideally before tickets go on sale, so you can show the CPD hours from the first day of booking. We give a decision within ten working days of a complete submission, or five working days with fast-track review.
