About this course
People Management Essentials is a 10-hour CPD course covering the fundamentals every manager needs: motivating a team, delegating, developing people, and handling the human side of management from hiring conversations to leavers.
The course runs as four weekly live online sessions of 1.5 hours with a qualified trainer, covering Motivation and style; Delegation and development; Wellbeing and workload; and The lifecycle. Between sessions learners work through worksheets and workplace scenarios, about 50 hours of learning in total, and the course is assessed by a 1,500-word written assignment applied to their own workplace. Learners who pass receive a certificate for 10 CPD hours.
It is designed for new managers who inherited a team but never got a playbook, team leads filling the gaps in how they lead, HR partners supporting first-line managers and owner-managers who manage their people directly.
