Verification

Verify a certificate

Check that a CPD certificate or an accredited activity is genuine. No account needed, and it takes seconds.

You will find it on the certificate, below the CPD hours. Scanning the certificate’s QR code brings you straight here with the number filled in. GiftedHours Passport numbers (CPDAB-V-...) and volunteering certificates (CPDAB-VC-...) can be checked here too, and so can Approved Trainer numbers (CPDAB-T-...).

Try an example:
Certificate issued from a provider’s own system (LMS)?

Some accredited providers issue certificates from their own learning platform (LMS), with their own certificate ID on them. To check one, enter the provider’s number (CPDAB-P-...) and the certificate ID exactly as printed on the certificate.

If the certificate shows a link starting with cpdaccreditationbureau.com/v/, clicking it does this check for you.

  • Valid

    Certificate

We issued this certificate for an accredited activity. It stays valid even after the activity’s accreditation period ends.

  • Not valid

    Certificate

The certificate was withdrawn, for example because it was issued in error. It should not be relied on.

  • Accredited

    Activity

The activity currently meets our standard and may carry our mark.

  • Expired

    Activity

The accreditation was not renewed. Certificates issued while it was accredited remain valid.

  • Suspended Withdrawn

    Activity

We have suspended or removed accreditation. The activity must not use our mark while this applies.

  • Not found

    Any number

We have no record of that number. Check it has been typed correctly. If it still does not match, the certificate may not be genuine.
